A Closer Look at Dippity-Do Men

A trend that I notice among most guys is that they tend to take care of their hair more than anything else. You’ll often find guys who have great hair, but couldn’t care less about their style or even skin care. Why is that?

Well, hair is fairly easy to take care of (most of the time), and it’s part of your facial appearance. Having a good head of hair shows that you put in effort into your look and it doesn’t take too much thinking. As long as you’ve got a style you’re happy with, you’ll be content in styling your hair that way. And almost always, it’s too much to go to the salon every time that you want that stylish look.

The reason I’m writing this post is because many guys, including myself, find it hard to get a product of the shelf of a store that does everything they need it to – without breaking the bank. And I want to share a product that has not only served me well, but will continue to be my go-to, simply because of the quality. I was debating on posting this sooner, but I thought it would be good to take my time and experience how the product is in the long run, after multiple uses. I have been using Dippity-Do for about 6 months now, and it has been nothing but positive.

Dippity-Do Men has a classic retro-barbershop vibe to their products, which are crafted with natural ingredients (Argan Oil, Shea Butter, Olive Oil, and Tea Tree Oil) and ultimately, easy to use/remove. This also means that these ingredients help condition, add shine and fortify your
hair. Many products I’ve used before tend to have that flaky or dry-ish after effect, which is not only annoying, but can be damaging to your hair . Furthermore, the heritage of the brand is iconic (having been around for over 50 years), as it offers timeless, urban and classic styles that is perfect for the renaissance man movement.

Initially, as a guy with curly hair, it was hard finding the right type of product for the job. I tried various things (and it could have been my lack of knowledge) but I would always end up with frizzy hair. The Texture series was perfect for me – especially the 3-in-1 styling pomade and the grooming creme. They’ve become my go-to, simply because of good they are for my hair type. The pomade works really well for matte styled looks, as well as on beards, for a healthier sheen and a fuller look. The creme is easily my favourite because of the scent and the way it highlights my curls more. The healthy shine it provides not only looks good, but feels great – it isn’t stiff or uncomfortable at all. There are also the texture paste, which is perfect for bolder styles, and the power gel, which is great for straighter hair. It worked for me when my hair was shorter, but when my hair is a little unruly, I can’t achieve the style I want.

If you haven’t had the chance to try Dippity-Do Men products yet, do yourself a favour and take the leap (it’s not a big one) and you won’t regret it.

You can find all Dippity-Do Men products at Walmart, London Drugs, Loblaws, Jean Coutu, and of course – www.dippitydomen.com
