A Father’s Day Recommendation Round Up

I’m always a tad bit late on Father’s day or Mother’s day posts because I tend to leave everything till last minute, and I’m sure many of you do as well! This post is for everyone though. Some might not regard these days as important simply because they’re ‘hallmark’ holidays, but I believe that showing your parents appreciation is wonderful on any given day, so use this post for more than just those days.

With Father’s day being right around the corner, I thought it was only appropriate to share some of my favourite picks and brands for gifting ideas, or personal use (it’s totally cool to celebrate yourself). I’ve compiled a list of products that I’ve found to be particularly useful or simply great overall. Adn like I said, if you or your dad aren’t into the whole ‘father’s day hype’, consider this a simple gifting guideline for upcoming opportunities.

I tried to cover a variety of categories with my suggestions, so that all of dad’s needs are met. Everything recommended can be versatile for any type of dad/guy, but some might be more appropriate than others, based on how you know your own dad/self.

Anthony Perfect Shave Kit

This is a simple pick up with everything you need to keep your face healthy over the next little while. Shaving can be a tedious process, and having the right products can ease the discomfort of bumps and irritation. I’ve had a wonderful experience with Anthony’s skin care products, and I wasn’t surprised that their shaving options were just as good. The products included in the kit are:

  • Glycolic Facial Cleanser works to gently exfoliate helping to brighten, re-texturize and firm skin
  • Pre-Shave Oil softens and lifts beard hair preventing the formation of ingrown hairs and razor burn
  • Shave Cream provides a luxurious lather, enriched with natural plant extracts to help prevent razor bumps and burn
  • After Shave Balm instantly soothes and cools skin on contact after shaving

Lacoste Apparel

The reason why I included Lacoste in this list is because they’re got some fun pieces for every single type of dad. And their editorial to showcase their different styles is absolutely stunning! You can’t go wrong with the classic elements of the brand, and dad is sure to like anything from the products below.

For the elegant dad.
For the explorer dad.
For the Sporty dad.
For the Travel dad.
And of course, for the Trendy dad.

Thomas Sabo Accessories

If there’s one thing this brand does right, it’s the bold statements they make with their jewelry and accessories. This Rebel at Heart collection tailors to the ‘bad dad’ with their monotoned, edgy pieces. Want dad to stand out? Get him a nice ring or cuff links, made from blackened 925 Sterling silver and individually selected precious stones. These hand crafted works of art are a great way to tell dad he’s your top guy.

Paul Hewitt Watches and Accessories

Perfect for any dad with any taste. These timeless accessories and watches by Paul Hewitt make simple and sentimental gifts, without much effort. The nautical vibes are also perfect for summer!

Ted Baker’s Tonics Fragrance Collection

Another thing you can’t go wrong with is cologne/perfume. No worrying about sizes, or any of that stuff. These new colognes by Ted Baker are some of my favourites this year, and they’re super versatile for any dad’s taste.

Ag Silver. Formulated for the traditional gentleman, with notes of fresh violet leaf, cool eucalyptus and smoky leather.

Au Gold. Made for the devilishly well-dressed gent, with bold notes of bergamot, spicy clove and opulent vanilla.

Cu Copper. Made for the discerning gent who is hot on the heels of the latest trends, with a refined blend of grapefruit, fresh aquatic, warm pepper and cedarwood.
