Busy Bizzy Casual

Hey guys, it’s me again.

So yes, it’s been a while since I’ve blogged. I’m not proud of that. But! Here’s why (sorry I’m making excuses, just bear with me):

I have been traveling Asia for the last 3 or so months and I’ve loved every minute of it. In all honesty, I was too busy soaking up the experience. As someone who has spent the majority of his life in Toronto, this was pretty big. So naturally, I was absorbed in the moment of it all and haven’t had time to take a step back and really reflect at what I’ve overcome and learnt in this last little while. I’ve wow’d myself in so many ways and have done things I never thought I was capable of.

To top that off, I decided to work in Taiwan, a rather bold and spontaneous decision. And I don’t regret it one bit.

I packed with the intention of returning, so I didn’t have much. But I said to myself: do it. Don’t live with what ifs. And here I am. I mean, who knows how long I’ll be here, but its quite the ride and I don’t want to hop off just yet.

I’ll be writing more about my trip so far in another blog post, but for now. I don’t want to bore you all, so let’s jump to the fashion stuff! (Thanks for your patience)

Since the weather is warmer here, I’ve had to adjust what I wear in the winter time. It’s new to me. I’m used to wearing a big parka this time of the year. But, I’m thankful that I don’t have to for once.

For this outfit, I stuck to some business casual staples. I decided to keep it very casual by wearing an untucked plaid shirt. The simple pullover on top compliments it well, especially since it’s a neutral grey. I decided to go with red chinos for this look to keep the outfit exciting and bold, like my decisions (lame). The casual backpack also adds a careless and nonchalant touch. But to keep it all together, the black wingtip oxfords work as a perfect finish to the casual look, by making it stylish and classy, despite its casual nature.

This was a spontaneous shoot as well, so thanks to Julie Yeh for helping out with the great photos!
