Here’s Another Great Grooming Destination in Toronto, Garrison’s Barbershop

Hey guys!

I’ve had a couple of people reach out to me and ask for recommendations on places to get groomed (hair and beard wise), so I thought I’d add another experience and recommendation to the blog today. As we all know there are numerous barbershops to get your haircut around the city, but sometimes you’re just not quite sure a certain place will get it right. I understand that very well – and have discussed that in my previous barber shop experience here. But there’s nothing wrong with giving something new a try. You never know if that will become your go-to spot!

There are a few select shops around the city that know how to get it right for me. And obviously this won’t be for everyone, but if you’re a guy who’s trying to keep a simple and classic look, Garrison’s Barbershop is a fantastic option. (You can obviously get funkier cuts there too, but they got my go-to classic style just right!) They offer a modern take on the traditional barbershop, but it’s still a very personable and enjoyable experience. The shop itself is located on West Queen West (254 Niagara St) and offers a simple and relaxing ambience. You can walk in without a reservation, but it’s recommended that you call and reserve, as it does get quite busy. I had the pleasure of getting my hair and beard trimmed by Alex, who is one of the Master Barbers at Garrison’s Barbershop. I got lost in conversation with him and honestly, it made the overall experience so much more enjoyable. The barbers there are experienced and very cool people.

And want to know what’s even cooler? They’ve got a pop-up shop within fashion retailer Frank + Oak as of February 1st (fairly new still) which is pretty sweet when considering a one-stop-shop for any guy. They’ve bridged the gap between style and grooming to help guys look their best without having to go all over the place (if you’re trying to save time, this is an amazing option).

You can actually book online for Garrison’s Barbershop inside Frank + Oak at www.garrisons.ca and https://ca.frankandoak.com/stores/toronto/queen. Their hours are TuesdaySaturday 10am – 8pm and Sunday 11am – 5pm.

Pop in and give them a try – I think it’s worth the commute down if you’re in or out of the city. It’s a good place to relax, chat and get a good, solid haircut.
