The Cortado Inspired Sneaker from New Balance and J.Crew is Here

I know what you’re thinking: there’s been a lot of focus on J.Crew and New Balance recently on the blog. And for a reason, they really can do no wrong.

The last sneaker that the two brands worked on was a creative success. They’ve also released an activewear collection recently (which I talked about here) that really showcased what their collaboration is capable of producing. This particular sneaker sticks to the classic elements of J.Crew and New Balance, while adding a touch of neutral excitement. The rich hazelnut browns and velvety whites of a cortado coffee keep the sneaker versatile and fun for anyone choosing to wear them.

These ‘coffee’ inspired 997 sneakers, are scheduled to drop on Saturday, March 25th. As usual, the limited edition sneaker will be available at jcrew.com and this time, only Vancouver’s Robson Street J.Crew store will carry them. So it will be more difficult to get your hands on them if you don’t get them online (sad-face). They will retail at a hefty$250CAD, which isn’t really cheap for a pair from this collaboration, but due to the limited-edition nature of the shoe, it might be worth your while to consider a pair.

But based on the recent works in this collaboration, I’ll continue to look forward to newer works by both J.Crew and New Balance. It’ll be fun to see what they have in mind for the upcoming seasons!
