Celebrating National Caesar Day with Wyborowa

It’s that time of year again, where we’re appreciating the sheer awesomeness of the Caesar (one of my favourite cocktails). For those who don’t know what a Caesar is, you have to try one. It’s a Canadian spin on the bloody Mary, with the inclusion of clam juice. It’s got a fun kick to it that makes it the perfect start to a day (if you’re having that kind of day) and ideal for any patio gathering. Even if you’re not into alcoholic beverages, you can often get a virgin option which is just as good.

We all love a good Caesar, and there are many ways to go on about making one. But I’m a traditionalist and prefer the classic Caesar with Wyborowa (try it and you’ll understand why). If you’re into having some more fun and want to try exciting Caesars, you can find some pretty cool ones around Toronto.

The reason I chose Wyborowa particularly is because of it’s quality, bold characteristics, which really go well with the Caeasar. It’s definitely one of my favourites because it is consistently a great addition to all cocktails I’ve had. Besides, there’s a lack of additives (no sugar either) except for water. It’s a Polish vodka that’s exclusively produced in Poland, and made from traditional cereals, specifically rye. I wouldn’t say it’s the best to have on it’s own because of the kick it has (some may enjoy it), but it really stands out and blends well when combined with other ingredients.

If you like rye in your whisky, you’ll love it in your vodka!”

Here’s a quick recipe for you to make at home. It’s a simple and fun cocktail that can be the perfect addition to barbecues, brunches or even just casual hangouts. Besides, you’ll be impressing those around you, especially if Thank me later.
