Looking for Comfortable and Stylish Business Wear? Say No More, Canada.

When it comes to picking out business wear, the first thing that comes to mind (well, for me at least), is: will this garment be comfortable? Among other things of course – but who doesn’t want comfortable clothes that look good?

Besides that you’re also hoping it looks good, and it fits you well. Well -without having to spend a fortune, you can get yourself into some quality pieces nowadays – which is awesome!

So this post is about a heritage brand that is changing it up when it comes to work attire. It is one of my dad’s favourite brands; along with Dockers, Ralph Lauren and a few others. It’s refreshing to see brands that were once in my dad’s closet, surfacing with exciting changes – and for the better.

Van Heusen recently launched functional men’s business wear (available at Hudson’s Bay) that really caught my attention. The first-of-its-kind partnership with the UFC and renowned fighters TJ Dillashaw and Stephen Thompson, got me to focus in on the finer details beyond the advertising. The garments were made to be functional and stylish. Furthermore, certain aspects of the clothing seek to challenge the current status quo of business wear – where you’re generally not encouraged to move too much in it.

We are excited to re-introduce Canadians to the beloved Van Heusen brand” said Richard Deck, President, PVH Canada Corp. “The Flex and Traveler Collections are wardrobe game-changers that seamlessly combine active and professional lifestyles. We are honoured to partner with The Hudson’s Bay for this launch and keep Canadians looking sharp and comfortable throughout the day.

The Van Heusen Flex Collection includes dress shirts, pants and sport shirts perfect for the newest generation of ambitious Van Heusen men seeking functional yet stylish work apparel.

The Van Heusen Traveler Collection offers a versatile and hassle-free lineup for men on-the-go, with no ironing needed. The collection also offers innovative odour-shield technology to help keep a fresh and clean scent all day. Pieces are available starting at $35.

I’m looking forward to picking up a few pieces to gauge the quality of the garments, along with their ability to carry me through a typical day. I feeld that many guys who wear business attire on a daily basis would appreciate the efforts that brands like Van Heusen are making. Besides – the garments come at very accessible price points, allowing anyone to dress well. As I mentioned earlier, it’s nice to see a heritage brand come back with something modern and refined – kudos, Van Heusen.

Flex and Traveler Collections are available at Hudson’s Bay stores across Canada and will be available online, September 2018.
