Skincare for Men Made Simple

Not too long ago, I wrote a piece that focused on Blend and Boost, a custom skin care product that focused on personalizing your skin care experience. While those products are great and unique, there’s a small aspect that doesn’t work for some people: the accessibility and ease of use.

From my personal experience – as a guy who has slowly transitioned into a simple skin care routine – I know first hand how daunting it can be trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t; and to be honest, most guys have no idea where to start.

I always emphasize how important skin care is – especially during the cold weather and seasonal changes, because it is imperative (and I say this all the time) to take preventative measures as opposed to restorative ones for your skin. It’s just easier to get into the habit of doing it – and it takes less than two minutes out of your day (and I’m talking directly to the fellas, since many of you don’t think you need to do any of this).

And yes I completely understand that there are enough products out there to get you lost and dazed, so where do you really start? Try Bulldog Skincare, and here’s why:

I’ve tried various brands; too many to name in fact. And as someone who wants to provide a recommendation for those wanting to get started, or simply change it up, you can’t go wrong with Bulldog. They have a simple array of products that work well with various skin types. The mild and natural formulas smell great and get the job done. And it’s not to say that other brands that you may be familiar with, such as Kiehl’s or Anthony aren’t great, but they’re pricier – and most of the time if you’re just getting started, you don’t need to be way over your head.

Over the past few months I’ve gotten accustomed to a variety of their products for daily use. I first discovered the brand at their launch event in Toronto (they’ve recently arrived in Canada; you can find their products at Shoppers Drug Mart) and I was excited to see the variety of simple men’s care products, ranging from skin care to grooming. The daily moisturizer is my go to in the morning and at night, after using the face wash. There are even sensitive skin options if that suits your needs – and in fact – I’ve used those after getting some harsh sun, and they’re gentler on the skin.

There’s no better time to take care of your skin than now, and I suggest you start simple, hence this post. If you’re very uncertain and still have no idea what works for your skin, consult a dermatologist or doctor, and ensure that you keep the biggest organ of your body (your skin) healthy!

All the opinions in this post are mine. This is a sponsored post, however I currently use Bulldog skin care and suggest that you do too, if it matches your skin’s needs.
