Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the amount of business cards you have to carry around? Or even just sitting on your desk?

When I was in Singapore late last year, I discovered One Good Card through a friend who was ecstatic about sharing this with me. The idea itself was great at first, but to see it in action was awesome – and I don’t know why it hadn’t crossed my mind before!

The One Good Card product is a multi-functional business card with a wireless chip (using Near-Field Communication) that integrates seamlessly with a digital profile and allows you to have all your information in one place (name, title, website(s), projects – you name it). You can easily pull up all of that information with a simple tap of your phone – so all you really need is to have your card handy, since everyone has smartphones nowadays.

The card itself is also customizable to your liking – and is made from high-quality materials with a durable design and feel that will last for years.

But it’s not just about convenience. One Good Card also aims to provide a longer term and more sustainable solution. I’m not a numbers guy, but can you imagine how many trees we would all save if we switched over from traditional paper business cards?!

If I’m going to be a little critical here, the one area of improvement that I see personally would be a quicker recognition of card from the phone. After a few months of using it, I noticed that with a thicker phone case, it can take a few taps while hovering the card for the phone to recognize the card’s credentials (it could also be due to the fact that I’m also still using an iPhone XR haha!)

Overall – I’m really happy to have discovered this mission driven brand that is truly relevant in today’s day and age. I would love to see more adoption of this sort of product over the coming years – and although One Good Card may not be the only brand doing this, they’re doing quite a good job with the simplicity of their product offerings (they also have the One Good Ring if that’s more your style).

Seeing the consistent enthusiastic reaction of people who see my One Good Card is awesome – because not only is it a great conversation starter, but it’s also proof that most people would be interested in making this kind of transition to an NFC business card if they knew it existed!

It’s also pretty neat to be pulling out a card like this when you meet someone for the first time – because as we all know, first impressions matter!
